Productive Day & My Head

I got about five hours of sleep last night, and right now it feels like my head is about to split open.

Today I got the following done (I don’t think I’ve ever been this productive in 2008…):

  • NINE: Revise Ch. 5.
  • NINE: Finish revising Ch. 26.
  • NINE: Revise Ch. 27.
  • NINE: Add 10 pages.
  • NINE: Print synopsis for review.
  • THE BILLIONAIRE’S VENGEFUL PROPOSITION: Revise Ch. 3.
  • Practice the new scale (I think it’s D# minor…or something…has like six sharps or something — my brain’s too tired to remember) and Kayser Op. 20 No. 17.

I was hoping to write The Billionaire’s Vengeful Proposition Ch. 4, but I don’t think I’ll be able to do it. I’m just too tired to think much less write anything decent.

BTW — as I was working on NINE Ch. 26 & 27, I had a huge revelation about the villain. There was a minor matter that just felt wrong but I ignored it for a while since I had no idea how to fix it. Now I know. Yay!

The Power of 1-2 Pages a Day

Everyone talks about the power of writing everyday, consistently, even if it’s a page or two a day. And these days, my main focus is revising Nine, but I’m also writing the first draft of The Billionaire’s Vengeful Proposition, no more than 1-3 pages a day, long-hand. It’s pretty amazing how much I can get done by doing that.

I haven’t moved all the hand-written pages to my computer yet, but I’m guessing I have about 24 ms pages or so. That’s a lot. Most likely I’ll get it written almost at the same times I’m done with Nine revision.
