It’s loosely based on Chosun Dynasty.
In a world where one’s class is everything, Jinyi is resigned to her life as a courtesan until her mistress becomes the new queen. The queen wants Jinyi’s help in destroying royal concubines in exchange for freeing Jinyi from the shackles of her birth. Jinyi accepts the queen’s offer, but her choice has consequences she’s never imagined and puts everyone she holds dear in mortal danger. She must choose between loyalty and freedom from her class.
